The Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Ali Al-Moselhi, declared that the Ministry has taken all necessary administrative steps to permit the purchase of wheat and the expensive free flour for all food industries, tourist bakeries, and pheno bakeries. This will increase the supply of these crucial goods and maintain their prices stability.
Al-Moselhi emphasised that the General Authority for Supply Commodities was instructed to provide wheat to be provided to those who wish and to all food industries at a price of 8700 pounds per tonne for a month; to increase the supply of wheat for the private sector in the market as one of the most important strategic commodities in most food industries products; and to those who wish to apply for the General Authority for Supply Commodities and decide within 72 hours.
However, he emphasised the availability of the purchase of the opulent free flour, extracting 72% on behalf of the Ministry of Supply for pasta factories operating in the ration commodity system at a price of 10,000 pounds per tonne, and he emphasised that these measures come with the aim of maintaining its availability and stabilising the free flour prices necessary for the manufacture of pheno and tourist bread, as well as the industry Pasta, in light of the crises.
