According to the official Emirati News Agency, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, the president of the Emiratis, stated on Monday during a conversation with Voludmir Zellinski, his counterpart from Ukraine, that his nation will make an effort to stop the Ukrainian issue from getting worse (WAM).
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and Zellinski discussed “the developments of the crisis and the importance of working to reduce tension and escalation, by resorting to dialogue and diplomatic solutions.
The UAE will endeavour to “create the atmosphere to calm down and negotiate for the interest of all sides,” Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed continued.
He stressed that the repercussions of the crisis in Ukraine “not only stopped by Russia and Ukraine, but also extend to all parts of the world, and negatively affect the global economy, security and international peace,” according to “WAM”.
His Highness is a believer in the importance of communication to enhance dialogue and come up with political solutions to the crisis. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed made the point that communication is constructive and important within the UAE’s ongoing efforts to contribute to alleviating escalation and participating in finding a political solution to the Ukrainian war and stopping human suffering.
A week has passed since Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed visited Russia and spoke with President Vladimir Putin before getting in touch with Zelinski.
For this reason, President Zellinski of Ukraine and UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed are in communication.
