The President of Algeria receives Abul -Gheit in preparation for the Arab Summit in early November

Abdel-Majid Taboun Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, was welcomed by Algerian President Abdel-Majid Taboun in the country’s capital during political meetings in advance of the Arab summit that is slated to take place early next month.

According to Jamal Rushdie, the Secretary-official General’s spokesman, Aboul Gheit listened to President Taboun’s assessment of the Arab position and what can signal the next summit of a fundamental shift in the direction of cooperative Arab action.

The Algerian summit is indeed a summit for Arab unification and giving a new impetus for Arab work in light of the great challenges facing the Arab region and the pressing crises imposed by the global situation, which requires Arab countries more coordination and rapprochement and reach mechanisms that allow effective dealing with the emerging challenges. The spokesman quoted Aboul Gheit as affirming during the meeting about the aspiration of Arab public opinion.

Abu Al-Gheit voiced his relief over the seriousness and effectiveness of Algeria’s preparations for the Arab summit and praised President Taboun’s direct oversight of the situation.
Rushdie explained that the university’s Secretary -General was keen to congratulate the president as well on the Palestinian reconciliation that Algeria has succeeded in embracing, hoping that the various Palestinian factions will abide by what was agreed upon and implemented..
