Continuing the multi -task force activities to suppress terrorist activities in the Lake Chad area, the Monguno Sector Forces 3 (October 2022) arrested forty terrorist logistics suppliers during an intelligence operation.
During the operation near Lake Chad, 64 bags of beans, 2 bags of corn, and other substantial food items that had been placed in the pockets of terrorists were found.
The forces then destroyed the remaining 100 bags of grain and another 300 bags of beans on the scene as a result of the subsequent actions.
On October 11, 2022, the 68th Battalion Forces conducted a joint patrol with the joint civil tasks force (CJTF) along the Mallam Fatheri-Bandamari-Bari axis. During this penetration, twelve fish bags and nine donkeys that were thought to be used as supplies for terrorists hiding in the Lake Chad basin area were found and seized.
Major General Abdul Khalifa Ibrahim, the Multi-Joint Monitor’s commander, congratulated the soldiers and asked them to keep up the pressure on cutting off all supplies to criminals so that peace and security could be fully restored in the Lake Chad basin area.
