“Pentagon” is studying the “Starlink” Internet financing in Ukraine

According to the “CNN” network, “SpaceX” sent a letter to the Pentagon last month requesting $400 million in funding over the course of the following 12 months since it was unable to cover the price of providing Internet connection in Ukraine.
Additionally, at a time when Ukraine is engaged in a war with Russia, the “Starlink” service, which offers space internet via a network of around 3,000 artificial satellites positioned in a low orbit, is extremely important for the Ukrainian network.

Elon Musk explained the logistical services of the procedure that cost “SpaceX” roughly $ 20 million per month in a series of tweets on Friday, hinting that the company cannot pay it indefinitely.
According to Mask, the cost of the company’s 25 000 ground reception stations for the nation’s space internet is currently 80 million dollars and will increase to 100 million dollars by the end of this year.

In regions of Ukraine affected by the Russian army, Starlink assisted in maintaining Internet coverage.
According to the government, around 15% of Ukraine’s Internet infrastructure was destroyed or damaged in June.
But Mikhalao Podolak, chief assistant of Ukrainian President, acknowledged the importance of “Starlink” in a tweet on Friday, saying, “Whether you like it or not, Elon Musk helped us to stay in the most dangerous moments of war.

Musk recently found himself embroiled in arguments with Ukrainian authorities, especially President Volodymyr Zellinski, after his recommendations to end the war infuriated them and made them determined to ensure that Russian authority over the Crimea would be recognised.

In Ukraine, “Starlink” Internet financing is being investigated by “Pentagon.”
