Manchester United is “accused” because of Ronaldo

The English Football Association charged Manchester United on Tuesday with failing to maintain control over its players during a defeat to Newcastle United earlier this week.
After stopping Cristiano Ronaldo from scoring, Manchester United players swarmed Craig Buson as the Portuguese player claimed Newcastle’s attempt for a free kick before sprinting to steal the ball from goalie Nick Bob and place it in the open goal.

Manchester United was charged with violating the fifth item of item 20. 1 of the English Federation list after its Premier League match against Newcastle United on Sunday because the club did not ensure that its players were acting in a disciplined manner during the 49th minute of the game. The club has until at least Thursday to respond.

With 16 points from nine games, United is fifth in the Premier League, and Tottenham Hotspur will face the third-place team on Wednesday.

Due to Ronaldo, Manchester United is “accused.”
