On Tuesday, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared that it was monitoring the responses to and ramifications of OPEC Plus’s decision to cut back on oil production.
In a statement, she emphasised that the organisation had committed to a path that expresses an artistic vision linked to the stability of the oil markets and its requirements, organising the supply and demand process, and defending the interests of producers and consumers. This path also needs to be close to technical foundations, in its economic context, and be agreed upon by all of OPEC Plus.
She emphasised her opposition to any policy that aims to exert pressure and her support for the organization’s stance, particularly that of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In this regard, she called for the need to address every dispute concerned with this issue through natural ways and in the context of a balanced direct dialogue, and reflects the importance of international partnership in efforts to perpetuate security and stability in the region and the world..
