Greece: The first batch of German soldiers «Maryder) arrives in the framework of circular exchange

As part of the cyclical exchange between Athens and Berlin, the Greek General Staff announced today, Tuesday, the arrival of the first six tankers of the German Mercider 1A3 armoured vehicle.
The circular exchange means that members of NATO supply Soviet weapons to Ukraine, provided that these countries in return obtain weapons from Germany to compensate for the weapons that they sent to Ukraine.

The rationale for this method is that Ukrainian soldiers find it simpler to utilise Soviet-made weapons than it is for them to employ unfamiliar western equipment.
The cars, according to the Greek Staff, arrived on Monday.
It is expected that the total of what Greece will get from Germany to 40 Mercider armored vector, in exchange for Ukraine from Greece 40 Soviet armored “BMB1” armored vector.
The army in the former East Germany provided Greece with the Soviet armoured vehicles.

How the armoured vehicles will get from Greece to Ukraine is still a mystery.
Circular exchange was first proposed not long after the Russian conflict on Ukraine began.
Before sending military weaponry to Ukraine, Greece maintained that German armoured vehicles were necessary in order to prevent Ukraine’s defensive strength from being compromised.
