Egyptian Book Authority participates in the Frankfurt 2022 exhibition

The 69th iteration of the Frankfurt International Fair will begin on Wednesday and run through October 23. Egypt will take part in the international exhibition through the Egyptian General Book Authority, and it will do so with a strong cultural programme.
According to exclusive statements for the seventh day by Islam Bayoumi, director of the Egyptian General Book Authority’s exhibitions, participation happens every year, and Egypt receives a 20 square metre wing.

Islam Bayoumi noted that the authority meets with translators to exchange books translating from various languages throughout the exhibition, and that the Egypt pavilion also provides a catalogue that includes the most recent Arabic book releases as well as the most notable new titles that the authority has brought to the Frankfurt exhibition so that visitors can see them.
In order to participate in the Cairo International Book Fair at its subsequent session in 2023, the Book Authority will widen its circle of cultural relationships with international publishing houses, said Islam Bayoumi.

It is important to note that more than 4,000 exhibition entities from 65 nations will participate in the exhibition; Spain will be the guest of honour at this year’s session, and a delegation of about 200 people will attend. Additionally, a number of the world’s most renowned authors and poets will also attend, including the Spanish authors Irene Valleyo and Antonio Moneth Molina, who will deliver two letters on literary matters.

Tsantisi Danjarmaga, a Zimbabwean author and filmmaker, earned the 2021 Peace Prize, which is given out by the German Books Trade Union each year during the Frankfurt International Book Fair.

Participating in the Frankfurt 2022 exhibition is Egyptian Book Authority.
