In a report released on Monday, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) said that 4 million children in eastern Europe and central asia were living in poverty as a result of the conflict in the Ukraine and high inflation rates.
Children “carry the heavier burden” of the violence, according to UNICEF, who said that the figure has increased by 19% since 2021.
Data from 22 regional nations were incorporated into the study.
Children in Russia and Ukraine suffered particularly horrendous effects from the war. Russian Federation has two.

According to the survey, there are 8 million kids that come from households who are struggling to make ends meet. The number of children living in poverty has increased by half a million in Ukraine, followed by 110,000 more children in Romania.
