The report noted that the victims were on donkeys and that “two ladies were killed and a child was critically wounded by a hand-made explosive device” close to Boso.
A local official then “verified the occurrence, pointing to” two fatalities “without providing any details.
The city of Boso, which is bordered by Lake Chad, is frequently the target of attacks by the Nigerian terrorist organisation Boko Haram or its defected branch, “ISIS West Africa.”
