The Yemeni Cabinet calls on the international community to pressure the Houthis to delinquency to peace

The Yemeni Council of Ministers called on the international community to assume its responsibilities to pressure the Houthi group and its supporters in the Iranian regime; For delinquency for peace, and the implementation of the obligations that have been assigned to it according to the items of the humanitarian truce.

Moeen Abdel-Malik reaffirmed, according to the satellite channel (Yemen) channel, the government’s commitment to the comprehensive and sustainable peace approach based on the agreed-upon regional and international support, as well as in a way that meets the aspirations of the Yemeni people to restore state institutions and put an end to the coup of the Houthi group supported by Iran.

In order to fulfil the Yemeni people’s aspirations of fully restoring the state and putting an end to the coup, Abdel-Malik emphasised the need to increase readiness to deal with potential variables in a variety of aspects. He directed ministries and government agencies to increase their efforts in accordance with new data, including activating the performance of state institutions, accelerating the path of reforms, and relieving the suffering of citizens of living and improvement.

On the economic front, Dr. Wasat Badib, the Yemeni minister of planning and international cooperation, spoke with Hala Sheikh, regional vice president of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), about encouraging public-private partnerships and looking into investment opportunities in the fields of energy, transportation, information, and communication.

Badib emphasised the significance of the private sector’s role in reviving Yemen’s economy, highlighting the necessity of enlisting the International Finance Corporation’s help in financing projects to increase the private sector’s adaptability and resilience as well as the necessity of fortifying partnerships between the public and private sectors.

He emphasised the importance of looking into new investment opportunities through the window of the global programme for agriculture and food security and the private sector in order to reduce the risk of investing in the agricultural and fisheries sectors, as well as the importance of doing so in order to achieve food security and create job opportunities.

The Yemeni Cabinet urges the international community to put pressure on the Houthis to make peace instead of committing crimes.
