The President of France congratulates Karim Benzema: It will remain in the history of football

Karim Benzema, a striker for Real Madrid, was honoured by French President Emmanuel Macron by being named the winner of the Golden Ball in its 66th iteration.
On Monday, Emmanuel Macron was keen on congratulating Karim Benzema on the golden ball, which crowned the best player for the 2022 season, to be the largest player in history to be crowned this award.

“KB9, two letters and a number who will register in the history of football, 24 years after Zidane, Karim Benzema returns the golden ball back to France, congratulations to him,” wrote French President Macron in a greeting to Benzema via his official Twitter account.
Following the award ceremony, Benzema stated, “Thank you to all of my teammates.” I appreciate Nensili, who is a part of my family, for being my fantastic president.

Since the day you gave me the chance to sign with Real Madrid, I have always had your trust and backing. I also want to thank Lyon, without whom I would not have been able to get to Real Madrid.
According to him, the People’s Award is a collective honour rather than an individual one.
As I mentioned earlier, it wasn’t simple, he continued. I’ll carry on doing my job as normal. I want to express my gratitude to the staff at Real Madrid, the group, the leader, and my French teammates.

Zidane and Ronaldo were the most youthful, he concluded.
