The French Prime Minister expects the government to use a decree to pass the budget

The government intends to use a decree, according to French Prime Minister Elizabeth Born, to assure the passage of France’s 2023 budget.
“We will likely need to use the third paragraph of Article 49 of the French Constitution,” Blumberg news agency quoted Bouren, as saying in an interview with the TV channel “TV”, in reference to an article in the French constitution that allows the executive authority to overcome parliament to pass laws.

In order to approve the legislation, French President Emanol Macron had to reach an agreement with opposition representatives after he lost his absolute majority in the National Assembly during the parliamentary elections that took place in June of last year. The budget has already been discussed for a few days, and it is starting to look like the administration will have a hard time convincing the majority of MPs to support the budget bill.

The French Prime Minister anticipates that the budget will be passed by decree.
