News from Al-Madinah: The director of Sudanese intelligence informed his Ethiopian colleague that Sudan adheres to the 1902 AD determination of its internationally recognised borders.

In order to prepare for the participation of the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in the “Tana Forum,” which was held in the State of Ethiopia in the middle of October, Lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, Director General of the General Intelligence Service, Presidency of the Ethiopian National Intelligence and Intelligence Service, paid a visit to the area.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddi indicated that Sudan has been supportive of stability in Ethiopia without bias to any party, categorically denying the presence of any camps for the Tagray Front within the Sudanese border.

According to the team, Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal’s first security, Sudan’s external relations and interests with its regional environment and all other countries are based on Sudan’s strategic interests rather than at the expense of other countries in the region, showing that dialogue is the best way to achieve shared benefits and interests.

In light of the fact that Sudan is home to a sizable population of Ethiopian refugees, the Director General of the Sudanese Intelligence Service underlined the need to find solutions to the problems facing Sudanese investors in Ethiopia as well as the communities in both nations.

The team stressed Sudan’s readiness to increase cooperation with Ethiopia while safeguarding Sudan’s strategic interests in its conclusion on the first preferred security of its statements about the significance of the two countries’ “keenness to develop ways to combat terrorism and organised crime and that the security services in the two countries play their role in addressing the challenges they face.”

The Director General of the Ethiopian National Intelligence and Security Service, for his part, asserted that the historical ties between the inhabitants of the two nations had not been impacted by political shifts and that the advantages of the Renaissance Dam will be used to further these ties.

And its parrot commended the two nations’ intelligence agencies’ cooperation, stating that this cooperation will use organised and potential criminal activity to advance security and stability in the two nations and address regional concerns.
