Sri Lankan writer Shihan Karunacla won the Booker Award for World Novel 2022

The book “The Seven Mida Mida” by Sri Lankan author Shihan Carrunaka won the Booker Award for International Novel at its 2022 session in the British capital, London. The prize money, which was chosen from among six books that had already made the short list, is believed to be worth 50,000 pounds.

Four writers competed against each other on the Booker Award short list, which featured six novels that were in control of the authors. The long list featured a contest between seven female authors and six works.
