According to the South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, Saudi Arabia and South Korea have decided to expand their current level of collaboration in the areas of hydrogen, entertainment, and other emerging industries.
The ministry said that the agreement was reached during a virtual meeting between the South Korean Minister of Industry Lee Zhang Yang and Saudi Investment Minister Khaled Al -Falih earlier in the day.

The two parties concurred that by actively engaging in discussions through the Vision 2030 platform, which was established in 2017, South Korea and Saudi Arabia accomplished a “practical achievement” in a number of sectors, including energy, the digital sector, smart infrastructure, and health care.

According to the ministry, the two ministers decided to expedite a fourth meeting of the committee to discuss new cooperative initiatives, including those connected to the transition to an economic system free of carbon emissions and digital content, based on the outcomes.

The ministry also indicated in a statement that the two ministers pledged to improve the relations of economic cooperation between them, with the two countries celebrating the sixtieth anniversary of their diplomatic relations this year.
