Manuel Manuel Garcia and Willer Dita scored the goals for New Yels Old Boys in the 47th and 81st minutes, respectively.
Juan Sforza, a New Year’s player for Old Boys, was kicked out of the game in the 36th minute.
River Plate stopped at 44 points in fourth position, while Newles Old Boys increased his total to 39 points in eighth.
The Taliris Cordoba team won the second game 3-1 over the Aldosivi guests.
Leandro Espeacho, Kholio Alberto Bouvarini, and Francisco Pesini all scored goals for Taliris Cordoba in the 26th, 66th, and 72nd minutes, respectively.
In contrast, Aldosivi converted a penalty kick in the 70th minute to score Martin Kotirosho’s lone goal.
