The great poet Ahmed Abdel-Moati Hijazi’s wife Abdel-Fattah soon arrived, followed by Nevin Al-Kilani, the minister of culture.
The late poet’s brother, his son, and several other family members helped the renowned poet Ahmed Abdel-Moati Hijazi accept Al-Mazen, and many other writers and writers, including Dr. Ahmed Mujahid, the former head of the General Book Authority, were present at the funeral.

Last night, Dr.
Suhair Abdel-Fattah, the wife of the famous poet Ahmed Abdel-Moati Hijazi, gave a speech at the Salah Salem Road venue known as the House of Events, the Rahman Al-Rahim Mosque.
Last Thursday night, Dr. Suhair Abdel-Fattah departed, and the critic Dr.
Reda Attia wrote on his page on the social networking site “Facebook” as a publication in which the late writer mourns, in which he said: “I do not find from the words what I say is a lament for the great mother who sponsors childhood issues, especially those with Disabilities, Dr. Suhair Abdel -Fattah, the wife of our poet Ahmed Abdel -Moaty Hijazi . . May God have mercy on her soul, for she helped our dear poet through his excruciating suffering.
The minister of culture expressed his sympathy.
And Ahmed Abdel-Moaty Hijazi, an Egyptian poet and critic who was born in 1935 in Egypt’s Menoufia Governorate, participated in numerous literary gatherings in major Arab cities, is regarded as one of the forerunners of the renewal movement in contemporary Arabic poetry, and has had pieces of his poetry translated into French, English, Russian, Spanish, Italian, and German. He was honoured with the Greek Greek Favis Award in 1989, the African Poetry Award in 1996, the Supreme Council of Culture’s State Appreciation Award in the Arts in 1997, and the Nile Prize in 2014.
