Italy: Meloni and Berlusconi are holding peace talks today in Rome

After a deterioration in relations between members of the right-wing coalition, Georgia Miloni, the leader of the Italian Brothers Party and a future prime minister, intends to hold “peace talks” with Silvio Berlusconi, the head of the “Forta Italy” party, today, Monday.

According to the Italian News Agency “ANSA,” after the “Forta Italy” party rejected the support of EGNASIO La Rossa, the prominent member of the “Italian brothers” party in the Senate Presidency elections, due to the disagreement over the formation of the new government, Berlusconi described Meloni last week as “arrogant, authoritarian, arrogant and aggressive” in written notes captured by the media.

Meloni said that Berlusconi overlooked a “non-extortion” position on the list after her party led the winning coalition in the general elections last month. Meloni is anticipated to become the first woman to hold the office of prime minister in Italy.

The conflict got so bad that discussions now centre on the “Italy Brothers” planning to meet with President Sergio Mattarella alone to discuss the formation of a new government rather than as a member of the right-wing coalition that also includes the Matteo Salvini-led “League” party.
Meloni and Berlusconi reportedly spoke on Sunday, though. It is scheduled to meet in the office of the “Italy Brothers” party in Rome, today, in an effort to reform matters.

The coalition led by “will rise Italy again,” according to Meloni, and the opposition from the center-left should “accept” this fact, he declared yesterday.

Meloni and Berlusconi are currently in Rome discussing peace negotiations.
