The United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, has urged nations all around the world to prioritise health care.
Guterres stressed – in a speech in the video in front of the World Health Summit in Berlin – the importance of “sustainable political commitment” so that countries can prepare better to face future trauma in the wake of Kofid 19.
The UN Secretary-General highlighted that, in order to accomplish this aim, the wealthiest nations and international financial institutions must assist poor nations in making these important investments.
Guterres noted that Corona and now the food and energy crisis after the Russian -Ukrainian crisis, all of this threatens the sustainable development goals and efforts to reduce poverty.
Guterres emphasised that the developing world is failing as a result of the uneven global financial system, highlighting the need to change this as all citizens require comprehensive health services since stable societies are built on the foundation of good health.
