Deputy Minister of Energy in Tajikistan: Water must be the focus of all policies in the world

First Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources in Tajikistan Janshid Joinzuda emphasised the necessity for water to be the focal point of all global policy because it faces numerous difficulties, such as climate change.
This came during the main opening session of the Fifth Cairo Water Week, which will be held during the period from 16 to 19 October under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah Al -Sisi, in the presence of a number of ministers.

He emphasised the need to continue working toward satisfactory solutions for the water sector even though it took us 20 years to get there. Since water is essential to life, it is crucial that we follow the UN General Assembly’s lead and implement all of the plans put forth to address the water issue.

In light of the stability of the water sector, he emphasised the population’s rapid growth and multiplication. He made reference to the fact that our nation has lost a lot of water and that numerous conferences are necessary to find the best solutions and address water challenges.

He continued by saying that all nations must set goals, work toward achieving them, and uphold all obligations placed on them in order to do so. The goals must also be accomplished significantly by collaboration with all institutions.

Under the theme “Water in the heart of climate work,” the Fifth Cairo Water Week events got underway today with the participation of 16 ministerial delegations, 54 official delegations, 66 international organisations, and a total of over a thousand participants.

The Fifth Cairo Water Week aims to advance innovations to address urgent water challenges with unconventional approaches using modern technology, support and implement integrated water management policies, and work to reach sustainable solutions to managing water resources to face population growth and climate change, in the context of interest The large state in the issue of water and put it at the top of the priorities of the water issue.

The Fifth Cairo Water Week will be held under the theme “Water in the heart of climate work” with the objective of exploring how climate change is affecting the water sector.
