Courtois wins the award for the best goalkeeper in the world

At a ceremony held on Monday night in Paris, France, Thibo Courtois, a Belgian goalkeeper who plays for Real Madrid, was named the world’s best goalkeeper for the 2021–2022 season.
One of the key factors in Real Madrid’s victory in the Spanish League and Champions League last season was Courtois’ outstanding performance.

The Ivorian striker Sebastian Halier, Dortmund striker, with testicular cancer, handed over the prize to the Belgian goalkeeper, after he outperformed many goalkeepers such as Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich) and Alison Baker (Liverpool) and Yassin Bono (Seville).
It is significant that Gianluigi Donnaroma, the goalkeeper for Paris Saint-Germain, received the Yashin Award in 2017.

Courtois is recognised as the world’s top goalkeeper.
