Patricia Richards might be among the luckiest citizens of London.
In addition to winning $1 million playing Encore in 2019, Richards just discovered she had also won a $500,000 Maxmillions jackpot in the Lotto Max draw on September 23, according to OLG officials.
The local retiree says she has been playing the lottery regularly for more than 30 years, and could not believe her luck at winning a major lottery prize twice.
When I checked my ticket at the store, I was astounded by what I discovered. I was stunned,” she said to the OLG in a statement made public by the organisation on Monday. Richards purchased her ticket at a London Circle K on Admiral Drive.
She referred to her son, who she had called when she found out she had won, saying, “He couldn’t believe this was happening.” Together, we reviewed the winning numbers.
I never imagined that this would occur, much less twice! ”
According to OLG officials, she wants to purchase a new house and is thinking about taking a vacation to Hawaii.
