Zellinski: 65,000 Russian dead so far

Days after the soldiers loyal to Russia declared their approach to the city, Ukrainian President Foludmir Zellinski said on Saturday that the field military situation near Battamout is currently the “most difficult” in eastern Ukraine.
In the Industrial Passage, it is stated that “the situation is still highly dangerous in the areas of Donetsk and Logansk.”
“Like the previous days, the most challenging scenario is near Bakhtout, and we continue to maintain our locations,” he continued.

As the conflict entered its 235th day, Zelinski noted that Russia had lost close to 65,000 people. He added that Russia would continue to advance even if the number of Russian fatalities reached 100,000.
Obetin and Ivangrad, two nearby settlements, have been under the hands of the separatist troops in the Donetsk region since Thursday, according to their announcement.
While there were just 70,000 people living there before the war, the Russian forces were bombed for weeks.

Journalists from Agence France-Presse spoke to a soldier who had just returned from the front lines in this region in Chasif Yar, which is around 15 kilometres from Bakhmout.
The 50-year-old soldier from Brigade 93 claimed, “I haven’t slept in days, didn’t eat, and simply drank coffee.”
The soldier, who was slightly hurt by shrapnel and showing signs of exhaustion, added, “Of the 13 young men in my group, we lost two soldiers and five were evacuated.

This is our current way of life, and we’ll do everything for our nation, he continued.
