The “historical deal” to resolve the Israeli-Lebanon maritime border dispute was lauded by French President Emmanuel Macron, who saw it as “an significant step towards more peace” in the region.
Macron congratulated Israeli Prime Minister Yair Labid and the Prime Minister and Prime Minister in Lebanon, Michel Aoun and Najeeb Mikati, on their “efforts and design” on the completion of the agreement, according to the French presidency.
