The Elysee Palace stated that the agreement “will contribute to the stability of the Middle East and the security of Israel and Lebanon, as well as contribute to the prosperity of the two countries,” stressing that it is unquestionably a significant step toward greater peace for Israel, Lebanon, and all the countries and peoples in the region.

The deal “provides a positive example of the region at the level of what can be achieved via the common desire to reach a conclusion in the framework of tough discussions that take place in the context of respect,” according to The Elysee.
