Iran’s uprising .. 8 people were injured in Evin Prison events

According to Iranian media, eight people contracted the notorious Evin jail in Iran due to the country’s rebellion more than a month after Muhsa Amini’s passing.
On Saturday night, there were “disturbances” at the Evin prison, including fights between the inmates and staff members and a fire that started in one of the sections.

When the Iranian uprising started, turmoil broke out at this prison, which is well-known throughout the country. Protests were held in response to Muhsa Amini’s death after being detained by the Ethics Police.
To manage the unrest inside the prison, police used tear gas.
Social media videos showing the prison building in the northwest of the capital showed some flames and smoke.

For its side, the Judicial Authority’s “Mizan Online” website stated that a fire started in one of the jail areas due to “a dispute amongst a number of convicts.”
The site stated that “the police were contacted to help the prison elements to restore quiet as soon as possible,” adding that the fire was contained, citing the Iranian jail administration.

Due to heavy traffic in the streets surrounding the prison, which completely slowed down traffic, the police’s arrival at the prison was delayed, as was made clear in some photos shared on social media.

Eight individuals were hurt in the events at Evin Prison during Iran’s uprising.
