Internet pirates offer a fake What

Information security professionals have warned about a false “WhatsApp” version that Internet criminals are using to deploy malware on their devices, including data theft. A fake version of WhatsApp occasionally surfaces because it exploits the program’s popularity among internet hackers to gain access to users’ phones, knowing that there are more than two billion active app users worldwide.

But the latest of these attempts is characterized by rare ingenuity, as the fake application works perfectly identical to the mechanism in which the original application works, so it requests the approvals needed to create the account, including the SMS short message. The fact that the developers of this application started a campaign to advertise it on communication apps raises the risk of the situation.

Users of the bogus software have the ability to edit its interface, block other users, and invite users to install it on their smartphones. But if you look closely, you may spot the phoney one since it goes by the name “YowhatsApp,” which is different from the real “WhatsApp.”
According to the technical website for “LiveMint,” information security company “Kaspersky” was the first to keep an eye on this fraudulent programme.

The risk with “Fake WhatsApp” is that hackers can use it to access a user’s discussions on the “real WhatsApp” application, steal identity information, and other harmful actions without the user’s knowledge or agreement.

In order for the user to remain in a safe position, he must carry the application from its official sources, which is “Google Play” and “Apple Store” stores, and not to click on ads that show the fake application on some communication platforms to download it from there. If the user has a harmful programme on his phone, he needs to delete it right away.
