The Tunisian Esperance team won its difficult match against the Nigerian Plato United team with a clean goal in the second leg of the 32nd round, in the match that brought them together on Saturday night at the “Olympic Hammadi Al-Aqrabi” stadium, and thus qualified for the African Champions League group stage.
Esperance, although losing the first leg 2-1 in Nigeria last week, helped the Tunisian team advance by scoring a goal outside the Tunisian team’s stadium.

Esperance joined the teams like Zamalek and Al-Ahly that determined their placement in the African Champions League groups. African Sun Downs, Belouizdad Youth of Algeria, Angolan Petro Atlético, and Ugandan.
Esperance, at the expense of Nigerian Plato, barely makes it into the African Champions League groups.
