Clashes between the police and angry young men in the Tunisian capital

On Saturday night, the second night of protests following the passing of a young man who was injured during a police manhunt more than a month ago, clashes broke out between the police and irate young men in Tunis’s impoverished Solidarity neighbourhood.
The demonstrators chanted anti-police chants and tossed rocks at the riot police as they used tear gas to disperse them in the solidarity and starting areas.
The streets have been pursued by the cops.

After his funeral on Friday, the protest got under way. Regarding the killing of the young man, the interior ministry made no comments.
On Friday evening, the Tunisian security forces fired gas canisters to disperse demonstrators who went out in night protests, denouncing the death of the young man.

This happened when the news of his passing caused tremendous congestion in his neighbourhood, Al-Tadamun, and the nearby districts on the outskirts of Tunis, where violent clashes between the demonstrators and the police forces broke out.

A 17-year-old male was identified a month after his hospital stay, despite contradicting reports about the circumstances, between those who claimed that security beat him and those who believed that his death was more likely the result of a fall while attempting to scale a wall to escape the police.
