In a thrilling game on Saturday in the Saudi “Roshen” league, defender Ali Al-Blaihi scored a goal in stoppage time to help the defending champions defeat Al-Taie 3-2 and put them back on the right track.
Odion Igalo’s goal for Al-Hilal gave them the lead in the 39th minute, and Brazilian Michel Delgado scored a second goal five minutes into the second half.
Amir Said of Algeria realised the draw after an additional seven minutes after Al-Taie had J Mubinza cut the deficit in half in the 57th minute.
Al-Hilal appeared to be going without a victory for the fourth straight game, but Al-Blaihi capitalised on a corner kick to score just beyond the valuable victory’s precious goal.
With 17 points from eight games, Al-Hilal moved up to second place, while Al-Taie dropped to fifth with 15 points.
The league’s top team, Al-Shabab, with 19 points from seven games.
