Zellinski thanks Mohammed bin Salman for his support for Ukraine

The Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, called the president of Ukraine, Folodimir Zellinski.
During the phone call, Zellinski expressed his thanks and gratitude for the Kingdom’s vote in favor of the decision of the United Nations General Assembly.

Mohammed bin Salman, for his part, emphasised that the Kingdom’s support for adhering to the established principles in the UN Charter, international law, and its affirmation of respect for state sovereignty, the principles of good neighbourliness, and the resolution of conflicts through peaceful means, is the reason for the Kingdom’s vote in favour of the resolution.

The president of Ukraine also expressed his gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s commitment to carry on the crisis-resolution mediation efforts.
Zelinski also expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia for its decision to send an additional $400 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine, which will help lessen the suffering of the nation’s population in light of the current crisis.

He stressed that this humanitarian aid is evidence of the concern of the Saudi crown prince to contribute to alleviating human suffering, and the Ukrainian people will not forget these noble humanitarian positions that prove the friendship of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Ukraine.
Mohammed bin Salman reiterated that the Kingdom is ready to continue its mediation efforts and that it supports anything that helps to stop the situation from getting worse.
