Twitter overcomes Alex Jones by deleting more accounts

Twitter has verified that it has deleted more accounts from Infowars, the website of the extreme right-wing “Alex Jones,” and the company has also corroborated a CNN story that said Twitter has permanently suspended 18 accounts that were used to get around the ban it imposed in September.

According to a message from Twitter, “Alex Jones” and “Infowars” accounts broke its behavioural norms. Twitter also stated at the time that it will consider any reports relating to other accounts that are perhaps connected to “Jones” and Infowars.

Several digital giants, including Apple, Google, and Facebook, have permanently outlawed anything created by Alex Jones and cited it as a violation of their general policies. Paypal Holdings also fully severed its business ties with the website.
