The drowning of a migrant boat off the coast of the southern city of Gerges nearly two weeks ago continues to be the focus of search efforts by the Tunisian National Guard.
In a statement released today, the General Guard spokesperson stated that the National Guard forces are still working to search for missing people off the coast of Gerges.
Nine decomposing bodies were recently found off the coast of Mahdia by the Tunisian Maritime Guard troops; the bodies were then taken to the forensic medicine division.
Off the coast of Gerges, the Tunisian National Guard is still looking for missing people.
