RCMP say 64-year-old man found dead after falling into Saint John River

A man’s body was found by New Brunswick RCMP search crews after he fell into the Saint John River on Wednesday.
Just before 10 o’clock on Wednesday, it was reported that two people had entered the river close to Saint-François-de-Madawaska.
First discovered on the river was a 22-year-old woman who was originally from India. “She was successfully rescued and transported to hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries,” read the release.

Police said that a second 64-year-old guy had fallen in and was missing.
Further down the river, on Thursday at around 10:45 a.m., the man’s body was discovered.
Police say an autopsy will be performed to identify the precise cause of death, but they don’t think criminal activity played a role.
