Austrian -Slovak’s talks on the developments of the Ukraine war

Alexander Challenberg, the foreign minister of Austria, spoke on Friday with Stecletv Kasher, his new Slovenian colleague, who was in Vienna for the first time. They discussed the latest events in the Ukraine conflict, the ensuing energy crisis, and the West Balkans’ integration into Europe.

The foreign ministers highlighted the excellent ties between the two nations and emphasised the need to further collaboration in the frameworks of regional cooperation, according to a statement from the Austrian Foreign Ministry.

The statement noted that Austria and Slovakia are tightly intertwined in all respects—politically, economically, socially, and culturally—so it makes sense to address them jointly. Both nations are facing many of the same difficulties.

The Austrian minister stated that it is very clear that the European Union unit is necessary and that we urge Russia to end the human suffering and withdraw its forces completely, and to create conditions for targeted negotiations.
The Austrian Foreign Minister emphasised the need of maintaining European unity and finding peaceful solutions to disputes.
