According to the “Health” website, a recent study indicated that video games may create a life-threatening heartbeat in some at-risk children.
The Australian researchers gathered information on 22 children and teenagers who experienced heart rhythm problems while playing video games. In many cases, the children experienced sudden fainting, and some even experienced heart attacks, which are fatal if not treated right away. Four of the children who died were all male.

Experts stressed that it is not clear how common such accidents are, but in almost all these cases, children were sometimes known heart disease, sometimes, and sometimes not recognized until the play accident occurred.
A local family doctor or family physician should evaluate any youngster who experiences sudden weakness, fainting, collapsing, or seizures so they can determine whether further testing is necessary.

She emphasised that while the majority of fainting cases are not dangerous, some of them can be, making it crucial to identify children who are having serious attacks. She added that once doctors identify a child or adolescent who has a heartbeat condition, medical intervention is very effective in ensuring their safety.
