US dollar exchange rate stable at beginning of transactions

12 October (MENA): CAIRO As Wednesday’s transactions at Egypt’s top banks got underway, the exchange rate for the US dollar was steady.
The exchange rate for the dollar was EGP 19. 63 for purchasing and EGP 19. 69 for selling at the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Banque Misr.
The exchange rate for dollars at the Commercial International Bank (CIB) was EGP 19.65 for purchasing and EGP 19.71 for selling.
At the Arab African International Bank, the dollar rate recorded EGP 19. 63 for buying and EGP 19. 71 for selling.

The average exchange rate for dollars on the Egyptian market, according to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), was EGP 19.63 for purchasing and EGP 19.70 for selling.
At Banque Misr and the NBE, the euro cost EGP 19. 00 for buying and EGP 19. 16 for selling.
The exchange rate for the euro at the CIB was EGP 18.02 for purchasing and EGP 19.18 for selling.
The CBE reports that the average exchange rate for euros on the Egyptian market was EGP 19.08 for purchasing and EGP 19.15 for selling.

The NBE and Banque Misr recorded EGP 21.44 for buying and EGP 21.77 for selling for the pound sterling.
The pound sterling was valued at EGP 19. 46 for buying and EGP 19. 79 for selling at the CIB.
The CBE reports that the average exchange rate for the pound sterling in the Egyptian market was EGP 21. 78 for purchasing and EGP 21. 87 for selling.
The NBE’s price for the Saudi riyal was EGP 5.20 for purchasing and EGP 5.23 for selling.

At the start of transactions, the US dollar exchange rate was constant.
