Ukraine says it ‘shot down 4 Russian helicopters’ in 18 mins

The Ukrainian defence ministry announced on Twitter that in the course of 18 minutes, four Russian helicopters were shot down.
“Productive morning, Ukrainian style,” said the statement on the website.

Four Russian helicopters that were ruining the picturesque autumn skies in the south of Ukraine today were shot down by Ukrainian soldiers in just 18 minutes.
“This is not the place for alligators.”
The local climate is hostile towards them.

The Ka-51 assault helicopter, which is utilised by the Russian military in Ukraine, is known as the Alligator, according to the Army Recognition website, which quotes the Russian military.

It comes as the UN General Assembly voted overwhelmingly today to condemn Russia’s “attempted illegal annexation” of four Ukrainian regions and demand its immediate reversal, while Russia’s Federal Security Service said it arrested five Russians and three citizens of Ukraine and Armenia in the attack on the Kerch Bridge.
Vladimir Putin was encouraged by the bridge attack to conduct attacks on other Ukrainian cities.

On Wednesday (local time), the Ukrainian Defense Ministry denied any involvement.

In 18 minutes, Ukraine claims to have “shot down 4 Russian helicopters.”
