The United Arab Emirates and Turkey were commended by Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, for their efforts to mediate between Russia and Ukraine in order to resolve the Ukrainian crisis and the subject of the prisoners’ exchange.
“Russia is appreciative of Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the United Arab Emirates, for acting as a mediator in order to settle humanitarian difficulties in Ukraine, including the prisoner exchange.
”
He continued, saying: “Of course, the UAE is ready to play the role of mediation, and I must say that the President of the Emirates is interested and participated in that, including humanitarian issues, the exchange of prisoners, etc. . . . He has our gratitude.
The Turkish President has already played a somewhat significant role in resolving a number of issues, including those related to the exchange of prisoners. The Russian President also expressed his gratitude for the Turkish President’s efforts regarding the issue of the family military personnel with Ukraine.
We are grateful to him since we have recovered our soldiers, even officers, as a result of his active participation in this activity, which has, as you are aware, yielded results.
The Turkish and Emirati leaders are thanked by the Russian president.
