The President of Kazakhstan calls for the establishment of an organization to support the Russian language

In a similar vein to the Franco-Francophone, Kazakhstan’s president, Qassem Gomart Tukayv, urged the heads of the Association of Independent Countries to create an organisation to support the Russian language. Our plan, which is currently in the Russian language, is to establish a global organisation like to the United Nations to support this tongue and gain from the success of the Francophone Organization.

It has 88 members and focuses its operations on fostering the growth of the French language, advancing peace, democracy, and human rights, fostering education and research, and fostering economic cooperation. Francophone is an international organisation for nations that speak French.

The media had previously reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin had backed his Kazakh counterpart’s proposal to form a company to advance the Russian language.

The creation of a group to support the Russian language is demanded by Kazakhstan’s president.
