Sweden: The gas leakage from Nord Stream is no longer visible

On Friday, the Swedish Coast Guard reported that the leak from the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea, which are thought to have been the target of sabotage, was no longer apparent.
The Coast Guard said in a statement: “During its recent flights over the Baltic Sea, the Coast Guard planes were unable to see any disturbance on the sea surface,” referring to Talaat Thursday and Friday.

After keeping an eye on four undersea leaks in the Swedish and Danish regions of northern Poland as of September 26, gas bubbles were observed floating on the water’s surface. The dropout of the leakage area initially varied between 200 and 1,000 metres.
According to Sweden, preliminary examinations have improved underwater, casting doubt on any potential sabotage.

As a result of Russia limiting its gas shipments to Europe in retaliation for what it perceives as Western sanctions imposed on it after the war, there have been geopolitical tensions around the pipeline between Russia and Germany.
