Senior Republican in the Foreign Relations Committee: Saudi Arabia is not an ideal ally

Michael McCall, the chair of the Republican caucus in the US House of Representatives, believed that Saudi Arabia was not his nation’s ideal ally.
Michael McCall said in a statement to the American “Fox News” network on Wednesday: “But they (Saudi Arabia) are a major national security partner against Iran, which is the biggest threat in the region,” Michael McCall said in a statement to the American “Fox News” network on Wednesday.

“The Saudis and the Emiratis will put Ibrahim’s deals at jeopardy,” he added, “when the president comes out and portrays them as isolated or when the Houthi rebels bombed them, and the Houthis are agents of Iran.”

This sets a poor example, and I believe it will increase danger in the world.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated at first light on Thursday that the Kingdom does not accept any sort of directives and condemns any acts intended to change the aims it seeks to achieve in order to safeguard the world economy.

She stressed that while the Kingdom seeks to preserve the strength of its relations with all friendly countries, it confirms at the same time that it does not accept dictates and rejects any actions or efforts aimed at modifying the lofty goals that it is working on to protect the global economy from the fluctuations of petroleum markets.
