Russian warning against playing with fire .. “result” is a third world war

News from Al-Madinah: Alexander Venedictov, the deputy secretary of the Russian delegation to the UN Security Council, warned on Thursday that allowing Ukraine to join NATO may spark a third global war.
According to Venedictov, “Kyiv is well aware that such a step will mean an inevitable escalation to a third world war,” he said in an interview, as reported by TASS.
He added: “It seems that, this is what they count . . . to make a media noise and draw attention to themselves again.

Venedictov again reiterated Russia’s stance, according to which the West’s support for Ukraine proves that it is a “direct party to the conflict.”
NATO membership is hampered by obstacles.
After Ukrainian President Voludmir Zellinski asked for his country to be accepted into NATO, observers think there are barriers in the way of Ukraine joining NATO.

The Russian president’s signature on a document that contained the territories of Logansk, Donetsk, Khairuson, and the Ukrainian to his country prompted the Ukrainian request.
“We are making a decisive decision by signing the candidacy of Ukraine with the aim of urgently joining the NATO,” Zellinski said, calling on the Ukrainian National Security Council to strengthen the international coalition to support Ukraine to confront the decisions of Russian annexation.

Despite constant American and Western backing for Ukraine, there was a different response when it came to Kyiv joining NATO, as US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan stated that his nation believes Ukraine’s accession to the military alliance “should take place at a different moment.”

The process of joining the alliance in Brussels, he continued, “should take place at a later time, in our opinion, as the greatest way for us to support Ukraine at this moment is through actual support on the ground.
In this approach, German Foreign Minister Analina Perbuk made a measured response to the Ukraine’s request, stating that Berlin is attempting to keep other nations from becoming involved in the situation.

“We continue to assist Ukraine even with heavy weaponry and ensure its right to self-defense,” she continued, “but we do everything we can to draw other nations and NATO as a whole into this conflict.

” Reminiscence of the past
In February 2019, Ukraine approved constitutional amendments, confirming the adherence to the policy of joining the European Union and NATO, in light of fears of a possible conflict at the time with Russia, due to the expression of the late 2020, its hope for joining the action plan in preparation for entering the military alliance.

Despite Zellinski’s request to hasten his country’s process of joining NATO and the EU in April 2021 due to Russian threats, he then returned at the start of the war to blame the alliance for “fearing the clash with Russia.”

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg had earlier stated that the alliance’s member states support “Ukraine’s freedom to choose its own path,” but he emphasised that any decision about membership should be made by all of the alliance’s members.
