Putin: The American presence threatens the security of our region

Russian President Vladimir Putin reaffirmed his condemnation of the United States in response to the rise in hostilities between his nation and the West, particularly the United States, against the backdrop of the conflict between Russia and its neighbours, which has now lasted for eight months.

In a speech delivered today, Thursday, in front of the summit of the “Conference of Interaction and Confidence Building in Asia” (Sika), held in Astana, Putin considered that what undermines security in Asia is the American presence
As Asia now plays the most significant role in this new system, he also saw that the world was beginning to become a multi-pole.

He also emphasised that Russia is making every effort to create an equal and permanent security system, as well as to defend growth and prosperity in Asia and forge solid economic links in this region.
He also demanded the elimination of all man-made obstacles in order to revive global supply chains for goods. He considered that it is necessary to use national currencies more effectively in dealings, in order to enhance the sovereignty of states.

It is interesting to remember that the Russian president has before discussed a new world order. He has repeatedly called for the rejection of the American policy, which he described as “unipolar”, accusing many European countries of dependency, stressing that his country cannot follow Washington’s dictates.

Since the beginning of the Russian military operation on Ukrainian territory on February 24, tensions between Russia and the West, particularly the United States, have increased, leading to the imposition of countless sanctions and a deterioration of the various economic, commercial, and military sectors. Politicians, deputies, ministers, and wealthy Russians, including those connected to Putin, have not been left out of this.
