Bassam Tohme, the minister of oil and mineral resources in Syria, and Nikolai Schulganov, the Russian energy minister, met in Moscow to discuss potential areas of collaborative energy cooperation.
The Syrian Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources said in a post on its channel by utilising “Telegram” that the projects Tenan and Balmas with the company “ST J C. Enginger” and the issues of cooperative collaboration in the sphere of energy have been summarised.
With the business “Technoprum Xport,” the project to finish the Tishreen thermal station, the phosphate projects, the projects of land and marine exploration companies, as well as the activation of the oil rock investment project in Syria, were also discussed.
The two parties agreed to update the road map to cooperate in the field of energy and train Syrian engineers in Russia, provided that the new map of cooperation is adopted during the next meeting of the joint Syrian -Russian committee and planned in Syria during the coming period.
