After confirming the US billionaire, Elon Musk, that his company, Starlink, was no longer able to secure the Internet service to Ukraine for high cost, the US Department of Defense is being answered this time.
On Friday, a top Pentagon official questioned whether Mask is boasting about giving Ukraine hope through the Starlink technology, but in the end, he sends the ministry the bill.
One of the richest persons in history, Tesla’s president, was also mentioned as having “given a free service in Ukraine, but after millions he relied on it now he wants to receive the price!”
These declarations followed earlier today’s announcement by wealthy Americans that SpaceX could not “indefinitely fund Starlink in Ukraine and send hundreds of stations.”
In posts on Twitter, he stated: “SpaceX does not request reimbursement for the prior costs it incurred, but it is also unable to continue funding the system as it is. This is illogical, “based on Reuters.
He also pointed out that Starlink spends about 20 million dollars per month, in reference to burning huge funds to maintain satellite services in Ukraine, after he had previously announced that his company had spent about 80 million dollars.
It is noteworthy that Mascher’s comments were made in the context of a tense relationship with the Ukrainian party as a result of the proposal he made last week to settle the conflict with Russia by having Kiev cede some of its lands. This proposal infuriated many Ukrainian officials, who then attacked him after receiving praise and thanks.
Additionally, it followed the disclosure in documents given to the Pentagon, as reported by CNN on Thursday, that his well-known organisation is requesting reimbursement of charges in order to continue providing services in Ukraine because it is no longer able to finance it.
