Masroor Barzani, the head of the Kurdistan Regional Government, urged Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid to protect the people of Iraq’s constitutional rights today (Thursday).

Latif Rashid to offer his congratulations on being chosen as the next leader of the Federal Republic of Iraq, “stating “his responsibility was very crucial in maintaining the constitutional rights of all Iraqis, especially people of the Kurdistan Region.”
He added: “We all endured a lot of tensions and disturbances, and we must now harness a real will to open a new page,” noting that “it is no longer possible to become the requirements of people.
Abdul Latif Rashid, a member of the Iraqi parliament, was chosen as president after winning the second round of voting with 162 votes against Barham Saleh’s 99.
Masroor Barzani requests that the President of the Republic uphold all Iraqis’ constitutional rights.
