Magazine: The United States can force Ukraine to negotiate if the conflict is long

Foreign Policy magazine quoted members who did not name them in the National Security Committee of Congress that the United States can force Ukraine to sit at the negotiating table if the conflict continues.
According to the magazine, the reason why aid to Kiev hasn’t increased is because of Joe Biden’s administration’s concern of Vladimir Putin’s provocation and a third world war.

According to the story, there is a strong risk that the White House may start pressuring Ukraine to negotiate with Moscow if the crisis lasts for a long time and expenditures keep going up.
The writer Daniel Pelica pointed to Washington’s refusal to start delivering the Tactical Atmani missiles, which has a range of about 300 km, due to the risk of escalating the conflict.

Additionally, he cited a New York Times report in which US officials acknowledged that Ukraine was responsible for the murder of Russian journalist Daria Dogina.
According to Pelica, “These two occurrences show two hidden trends in the Biden administration: a sluggish transfer of the main armaments and ambivalence on the complete support of Ukraine.”

Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, launched a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24 with the ultimate goal of liberating Donbass and establishing the circumstances necessary to ensure Russia’s security.
In the Outetensovo neighbourhood on the outskirts of Moscow, a car that was going on a highway exploded that evening, killing the Russian journalist Daria Dogina.

A few days later, the Russian Federal Security Agency revealed that the assassination was carried out by Ukrainian intelligence and that Natalia Fovak, a Ukrainian national who had arrived in Russia on July 23 with her daughter before immediately fleeing the country across the border with Estonia after the Dogina car, was the perpetrator.

If the battle lasts for a long time, the US can push Ukraine to compromise.
