In response to Zelinski’s statement, the Kremlin: Russia does not shoot on its foot

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov refuted Kyiv’s statements that Russia is planning to strike its infrastructure to transport gas, and said: “We do not shoot on our feet. ”
This was in reaction to Vladimir Zellinski, the president of Ukraine, who claimed that Russia intended to attack its gas transit.

In an interview with the German-language ZDF, Zellinski claimed that Russia intended to attack its gas infrastructure in order to place the blame for this on Ukraine, and that during the retaliatory strikes it would harm the Ukrainian gas system in order to cut off the gas to Europe and force Europe to use the “Northern Seal-2”.

The Kremlin responded to Zelinski’s assertion by saying: “Russia does not shoot on foot.”
